Bisalloy and MIRAS Forge European Armour Steel Supply Agreement

Australian armour steel manufacturer Bisalloy Steels has entered into a supply agreement with MIRAS Steel Trade to support the delivery of certified armour steel across multiple European markets.

The agreement covers Romania, Czechia, Hungary, Bulgaria and the Republic of Moldova, with a focus on defence, naval and heavy engineering applications. Under the arrangement, Bisalloy will provide its quenched and tempered armour steel plate technology, while MIRAS will contribute local processing, fabrication, logistics and distribution capabilities across Europe.

The collaboration is intended to improve responsiveness to customer requirements in the region by shortening lead times and ensuring local availability of certified armour steel products. Customers will also benefit from regional technical support and fabrication options, supporting a broader range of end users and platform requirements.

By combining Australian-developed armour steel with established European supply-chain infrastructure, the agreement reflects a growing emphasis on resilient, regionally supported defence manufacturing and material supply—particularly as European demand for certified protection materials continues to increase.

The partnership positions both companies to support defence and industrial programs requiring high-performance armour solutions while maintaining compliance with local standards and certification requirements.
