China Automotive Technology and Research Center Co. Ltd selects Rohde & Schwarz's C-V2X RF automated test system
C-V2X is one of the most significant automotive developments, and the creation of the appropriate standards and testing procedures to ensure compliance has become the key to this technology. Vehicle OEMs and Tier1 component suppliers need a standard system to support and guide the development and research of their C-V2X products and function of the overall system. Additionally, testing service companies and authorities need to carry out a large number of validation and certification work in accordance with the government and industry regulatory requirements.

Fischer Connectors’ solutions support the transmission of sensor data for the wind-powered SP80 boat setting out to reach the phenomenal speed of 80 knots, and thereby break the long-standing world sailing speed record of 65.45 knots
During the development of its boat that is now close to its final design phase, the SP80 team has chosen Fischer Connectors for the data-transmission solutions interconnecting the various sensors that will equip the boat and its pilot to break the world sailing speed record. The technical challenge is to sail at a speed of 80 knots (148.16 km/h), powered only by the wind. This is 14.55 knots faster than the record of 65.45 knots (121.21 km/h) set in 2012.

Rohde & Schwarz first to deliver test sequences to fulfill requirements of E112 emergency caller location
A new regulation requires all smartphones sold in the European Union from March 2022 onwards to support caller location for 112 emergency calls. To ensure this feature, the devices must be compliant with several positioning systems as outlined by the European Commission. Rohde & Schwarz announces an extension to its R&S TS-LBS location based services test system, making it the first test solution available to perform the necessary LBS compliance tests. Certification service provider CETECOM has already started first E112 testing using these test sequences.
